Baseball Recap: Shawnee Comes Up Short

Shawnee came into their game on Tuesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against the Vineland Fighting Clan, falling 17-4. The pitching woes were uncharacteristic for the Renegades, who until this game were averaging 3.86 runs allowed.

Shawnee saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Connor Byrne, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI and one run.

Shawnee's loss dropped their record down to 13-8. As for Vineland, they pushed their record up to 14-7 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Shawnee will square off against Cherokee at 3:45 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Vineland, they will challenge Kingsway at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
