Basketball Game Preview: Bucklin Red Aces vs. Pretty Prairie Bulldogs

Bucklin is on a three-game streak of home losses, Pretty Prairie a seven-game streak of away losses dating back to last season, but someone's luck will change on Friday. The Bucklin Red Aces will host the Pretty Prairie Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Bucklin came up short against South Gray on Tuesday, falling 74-51. While losing is never fun, the Red Aces can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Kansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 126th, while the Rebels are ranked 34th).

Meanwhile, Pretty Prairie might have been a little too into the holiday spirit, gifting Oxford an easy 77-53 win.

Pretty Prairie's loss dropped their record down to 3-2. As for Bucklin, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-4.

Bucklin was able to grind out a solid victory over Pretty Prairie in their previous matchup back in December of 2023, winning 59-46. Will Bucklin repeat their success, or does Pretty Prairie have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
