Softball Recap: Horace vs. Sheyenne Mustangs
Horace made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Sheyenne, but they still couldn't quite topple them. Horace blew past Sheyenne 19-4 on Monday. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for Horace considering their two-run performance the game before.
Austi Brandt was a standout: she went a perfect 4-for-4 with six RBI, two stolen bases, and three runs. Another player making a difference was Tristyn Struck, who scored four runs and stole three bases while getting on base in all five of her plate appearances.
Horace has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 5 runs this season. As for Sheyenne, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 2-2.
