Volleyball Recap: Madalynn Garretson's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Southern Coffey County over Madison/Hamilton

Southern Coffey County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss dating back to last season. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Madison/Hamilton Bulldogs. The Titans were not able to make up for their defeat to the Bulldogs from their previous meeting back in September of 2024.

Southern Coffey County was the model of consistency in the loss, scoring 15 points in every single set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-15, 25-15.

Several Titans players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Madalynn Garretson, who had four digs, two aces, and one block. Garretson is on a roll when it comes to aces, as she's now served two or more in each of the last three games she's played.

Southern Coffey County's loss dropped their record down to 0-4.

Coming up, Southern Coffey County will challenge Waverly on the 20th. As for Madison/Hamilton, they have already played their next contest, a 2-0 defeat against Eureka on the 13th.
