Basketball Game Preview: Marion Wolves vs. Solon Spartans

The Marion Wolves will challenge the Solon Spartans on Saturday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Having struggled with five losses in a row, Marion turned things around against Grinnell on Wednesday. They walked away with a 34-26 win over the Tigers.

Meanwhile, Solon beat Urbandale 52-45 last Thursday. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Spartans' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Iowa basketball rankings (they are ranked 36th, while the J-Hawks are ranked 132nd).

Marion's victory bumped their record up to 7-14. As for Solon, their win bumped their record up to 14-7.
