After flying high against Ord on Tuesday, St. Paul came back down to earth. The Wildcats lost 3-0 to the Yutan Chieftains on Saturday. The Wildcats' defeat signaled the end of their seven-game winning streak.

The final score came out to 25-16, 25-17, 25-12.

Katlyn Oakley paced St. Paul's offense, picking up eight kills. Oakley got some help from Zaya Lewis and her 13 assists. Delaney Jennings controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Yutan was led to victory by Allison Kirchmann and Kenzie Govier. Kirchmann had eight digs and two aces, while Govier had six digs and four assists. That's the most assists Govier has posted since back in August.

St. Paul's loss was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 24-10. As for Yutan, they have been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 11 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 21-7 record this season.
