Football Recap: Renton Comes Up Short

After flying high against Evergreen last Friday, Renton came back down to earth. The Red Hawks were outmatched by the Othello Huskies and fell 48-6. While losing is never fun, the Red Hawks can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Washington football rankings (they are ranked 135th, while the Huskies are ranked 39th).

When it comes to explaining why Renton lost on Saturday, don't look at Patrick Turner. Despite the final result, he rushed for 148 yards and one touchdown on only 14 carries. Turner's rushing production has been exceptional as that marked his sixth straight game with at least 124 rushing yards.

Renton's loss dropped their record down to 6-4. As for Othello, they pushed their record up to 9-1 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home.

Renton does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Othello, they will take on Sehome at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday.
