Softball Game Preview: Edward Little Red Eddies vs. Skowhegan River Hawks

Edward Little is 2-8 against Skowhegan since April of 2016 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The Red Eddies will head out to square off against the River Hawks at 4:00 p.m. Edward Little's pitching crew has only allowed 3.2 runs per game this season, so Skowhegan's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

Monday just wasn't the day for Edward Little's offense. They fell just short of Greely by a score of 2-0 on Monday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Red Eddies have suffered since May 15, 2024.

Chloe LeBlanc was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: she tossed six innings while giving up just two earned runs off seven hits.

At the plate, Edward Little saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Allison Michaud, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base.

Meanwhile, Skowhegan came up short against Brewer on Friday and fell 4-1. The loss was the River Hawks' first of the season.
