Football Recap: Porter Comes Up Short

Porter fell victim to Ketchum and their airtight defense on Thursday. They were dealt a 34-0 defeat at the hands of the Warriors. Having soared to a lofty 43 points in the game before, the Pirates' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Ketchum's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Gracian Jones, who picked up 97 receiving yards and a pair of scores, and also punched in one touchdown on the ground. Another player making a difference was Keegan Johnston, who rushed for 38 yards and one TD.

Porter's loss dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Ketchum, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-2 record this season.

Porter will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Afton at 7:00 p.m. on the 31st. As for Ketchum, they will take on Fairland at 7:00 p.m. on the 24th. The Owls' defense has only allowed 13.3 points per game this season, so the Warriors' offense will have their work cut out for them.
