Soccer Game Preview: Beaumont vs. Yucaipa

The Beaumont Cougars will challenge the Yucaipa Thunderbirds at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Beaumont's last three matches have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

Beaumont is probably headed into the matchup with a chip on their shoulder considering Cajon just ended the team's eight-match winning streak on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Cowboys by a score of 2-1.

Meanwhile, for the first time since back in December of 2025, Yucaipa was forced to settle for a draw on Tuesday. Neither they nor Citrus Valley could gain the upper hand so the two teams had to settle for a 1-1 draw.

Yucaipa's draw gives them a new season record of 5-5-4. As for Beaumont, their defeat was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 6-1 and their overall record down to 17-2-2.

Beaumont came out on top in a nail-biter against Yucaipa in their previous meeting two weeks ago, sneaking past 1-0. Do the Cougars have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Thunderbirds turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
