Basketball Recap: Eno River Academy Sets Scoring Season-High Against Woods Charter + How To Watch

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Eno River Academy). They walked away with a 37-30 victory over the Woods Charter Wolves on Friday. For the Bobcats, this counts as revenge for the 33-19 win the Wolves walked away with the last time they faced one another back in December of 2024.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Eno River Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Leiden Schofield, who dropped a double-double with ten points and 12 boards. Those 12 rebounds gave Schofield a new career-high. Seno Chan was another key player, putting up nine points in addition to seven boards and three steals.

Despite the defeat, Woods Charter saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Valentina Podolyanskaya went 5-for-11 en route to 11 points along with five rebounds and four blocks. Podolyanskaya is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in each of the last six games she's played. Another player making a difference was Wesley Oliver, who posted 12 points and five boards.

The victory was the third in a row for Eno River Academy, bringing their record up to 3-5. Those wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 27.7 points on average over those games. As for Woods Charter, their loss dropped their record down to 4-3.

Eno River Academy will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Oxford Prep at 6:00 p.m. on the 15th. Woods Charter has already played their next contest (against River Mill), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
