Baseball Recap: Apollo Ridge Beats Brentwood for Their Third Straight Win

It may have taken nine innings to finish the job, but Apollo Ridge ultimately got the result they hoped for on Monday. They had just enough and edged out the Brentwood Spartans 3-2. The win was familiar territory for the Vikings, who have now won three matches in a row.

Apollo Ridge's victory was truly a team effort as six different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Alex Clawson, who went 2-for-4 with two runs and one double. The Vikings are undefeated when Clawson posts two or more runs, but 3-8 otherwise.

Apollo Ridge's win bumped their record up to 6-8. As for Brentwood, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-9.

Apollo Ridge will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Spartans: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
