Baseball Game Preview: Kennedy Titans vs. Irvington Vikings

The Kennedy Titans will venture away from home to square off against the Irvington Vikings at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Kennedy is coming into the game on a four-game losing streak.

Last Friday, Kennedy didn't have quite enough to beat Washington and fell 3-2.

Kennedy saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Isaiah Ebrahimi, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2.

Meanwhile, Irvington owes their pitching crew a big pat on the back after their performance on Friday. They walked away with a 4-0 win over American. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Vikings.

Not much got past Angus Buchanan, who gave up just a hit to keep American off the board. Buchanan has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one walk in five consecutive appearances.

Irvington pushed their record up to 6-8 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.7 runs on average over those games. As for Kennedy, their loss dropped their record down to 5-8.
