Cactus Shadows made up a huge gap compared to their last game against St. Mary, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Falcons never let the Knights get on the board and left with  a   7-0  victory  on Monday. Considering the Falcons have won 15 matches by more than five  runs this season, Monday's  blowout was nothing new.
Not much got past  Cash Duley, who gave up just  two  hits and racked up 13 Ks to keep St. Mary's off the board. Duley has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't  given up  more than two  hits in ten consecutive appearances.
 On the hitting side,  Evan Hanish was a standout: he went 1-for-3 with one  home run, one  stolen base,  and two  RBI.  Henry Verhamme was another key player,  getting on base  in three of his four plate appearances with one  home run and two  runs.
 Hanish wasn't the only one working in the  home run department: Cactus Shadows  lost a few balls and  finished the game with three  home runs. That's the most  home runs they've posted since back in March.
The  win (which was Cactus Shadows' third in a row) raised their record to 20-2-1. Those  victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.7 runs on average over those games. As for St. Mary's,  this is the second loss in a row for them and  nudges their season record down to 13-8.
Cactus Shadows will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Knights: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled  at 4:00  p.m.  on Wednesday.
