Soccer Recap: Webster County vs. Notre Dame
Webster County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They fell 3-1 to the Notre Dame Fighting Irish. The Highlanders were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Fighting Irish apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in October of 2023.
Webster County's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Notre Dame, the victory also got them back to even at 3-3.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Webster County will venture away from home to take on Ravenswood at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Ravenswood's last three games have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for Notre Dame, they will head out on the road to face off against South Harrison at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Notre Dame is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 3.3 goals per game this season.
