Baseball Recap: Rigby Gets the Win

Rigby posted their closest win since March 21st on Saturday. They won by a run and slipped past the Thunder Ridge Titans 16-15. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 6-1 on Friday.

The team relied heavily on Bentley Brower, who went 2-for-5 with one home run, two stolen bases, and three runs. Rigby is 2-1 when Brower posts two or more stolen bases, but 6-12 otherwise. Kace Stapleton was another key player, getting on base in four of his five plate appearances with one home run and three runs.

They weren't the only ones working in the home run department: Rigby lost a few balls and finished the game with two home runs. That's the most home runs they've posted since back in April of 2024.

Rigby has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 8-13 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.8 runs over those games. As for Thunder Ridge, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-12.

Rigby will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Titans: the pair will be back at it again later today.
