Hilmar posted their closest win since February 28th on Monday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Orestimba Warriors 3-2. This was a revenge game for the Yellowjackets: when they faced off against the Warriors back in March, they had to take a 3-2 loss.

If you add up the scores from across all five sets (105-90) Hilmar actually scored fewer points, but in the end it didn't matter. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 25-22, 16-25, 8-25, 16-14.

The win snapped Hilmar's losing streak at five games and leaves them with a 6-18 record. As for Orestimba, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 8-10.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Hilmar will take on rival Ripon Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Orestimba is set to face off against their familiar foe Big Valley Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
