Volleyball Game Preview: Homestead Mustangs vs. Cupertino Pioneers

The Homestead Mustangs will square off against the Cupertino Pioneers at 6:45 p.m. on Monday. Homestead will be strutting in after a victory while Cupertino will be coming in after a loss.

On Friday, Homestead beat Lynbrook 3-1. The Mustangs haven't had any issues with the Vikings recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

The victory didn't come easy: Lynbrook scored at least 21 points in every set. The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 23-25, 27-25, 25-21.

Meanwhile, Cupertino was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 3-0 to Los Gatos.

Cupertino was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the second set very close. The final score came out to 25-21, 25-23, 25-21.

Homestead's win bumped their record up to 19-10. As for Cupertino, their loss dropped their record down to 7-17.
