Heart of America recap October 8, 2013

Marion took down Horton 53-12 last week, the largest margin of any game.

Inman and Medicine Lodge played the most contested game in Heart of America this week, with Inman eventually emerging with a 19-14 victory. Tyler Cottam ran for 184 yards and caught 1 pass for 25 yards in the win.

Trevor Wood made the biggest impact on defense this week as Bennington topped Republic County. The 6-foot-1 senior racked up 2 sacks.

Brylie Ware provided a threat through the air and on the ground as Sedgwick bested Trinity. He completed 15 passes for 152 yards and also ran for 69 yards. Ware's key target this week was Greer Chandler, who caught 5 passes for 62 yards.

Kyle Kieborz put up the best numbers in passing as the Bulldogs beat the Buffaloes. He finished with 4 completions for 50 yards and 2 touchdowns.

Sedgwick's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Cardinals feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Ware has thrown for 1,221 yards and 8 touchdowns this season, while Chandler has 32 catches for 537 yards.

As it stands, the Warriors are in second, while the Celtics are in fourth.

Marion led the league in scoring this week after putting up 53 points on the Chargers.
