Football Recap: Regents Piles Up the Points Against St. Joseph Academy

Regents extended their winning streak to four on Friday, bumping them up to 4-0. They claimed a resounding 59-15 win over the St. Joseph Academy Bloodhounds. That 44 point margin sets a new team best for the Knights this season.

Jack Devine produced another solid effort throwing for 211 yards and six TDs on only 19 passes, while also rushing for 74 yards and one touchdown on only five carries. That's the most passing touchdowns he has posted since back in August of 2024. Kade Millington was in the mix too, providing Regents with two scores.

Regents didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Drew Shepard and Millington.

As for St. Joseph Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 1-3. The defeat continues a trend for them in their meetings with Regents: they've now lost seven in a row.

St. Joseph Academy's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Gavin Cisneros, who threw for 242 yards and a pair of TDs, and also rushed for 93 yards.

Looking ahead, Regents will host Brook Hill at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. This will be the Knights' first chance to prove their worth in the conference. As for St. Joseph Academy, they will take on Economedes at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The Jaguars' defense has only allowed 10.2 points per game this season, so the Bloodhounds' offense will have their work cut out for them.
