Basketball Game Preview: Lone Oak Buffaloes vs. Winnsboro Raiders

The Lone Oak Buffaloes will head out to face off against the Winnsboro Raiders at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday.

Lone Oak is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 59 points on Tuesday, they were much more limited against Rains on Friday. They were beaten by the Wildcats 69-21. While losing is never fun, the Buffaloes can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 1035th, while the Wildcats are ranked 58th).

Meanwhile, Winnsboro came tearing into Friday's contest with nine straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 30.7 points) and they left with even more momentum. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Mustangs 71-35. The Raiders have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 11 games by 20 points or more this season.

Lone Oak's defeat dropped their record down to 3-9. As for Winnsboro, their victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 18-2.
