It was a good run, but Arcanum unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-match winning streak on Monday. They came up short against the New Bremen Cardinals, falling 3-0. If the Trojans were looking for revenge after losing 3-0 to the Cardinals when the teams met back in September of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 25-7, 25-17.

Caroline Long paced Arcanum's offense, picking up six kills. Long got some help from Grace Fry and her seven assists. Kamryn Beisner controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Allie Bornhorst was the offensive standout of the match as she had 12 assists and seven digs. That's the most digs she has posted over her last eight matchups.

Arcanum's loss dropped their record down to 15-4. As for New Bremen, their record now sits at 17-2.

Arcanum and New Bremen should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Ohio Rankings. The Trojans will challenge Twin Valley South at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday with a big rank advantage (202 vs. 550). Meanwhile, New Bremen (ranked 13th) will meet St. John's (ranked 500th) at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
