Softball Recap: Liberty Snags 13th Victory in Last 15 Games

While Liberty's win against Paloma Valley wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Bison skirted past the Wildcats 8-7. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Bison have posted since April 8th.

Yasmine Lopez was a standout: she got on base in all four of her plate appearances with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Julianna Larson, who went 2-for-5 with one home run and two runs.

Liberty kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least 11 hits in five consecutive games.

Liberty is on a roll lately: they've won 13 of their last 15 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-9 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.5 runs over those games. As for Paloma Valley, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 10-13.
