Trenton was handed a heart-breaking two-run loss in their last game, but they sure didn't let that happen against Columbia on Thursday. Trenton never let Columbia get on the board and left with an 8-0 win. The result was nothing new for Trenton, who have now won six contests by eight runs or more so far this season.

The result came thanks to Addison Allaire's shutout, as she gave up just a hit and racked up 15 Ks. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in ten consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Presley Akins, who went 2-for-4 with three RBI, one triple, and one stolen base. Those three RBI gave her a new career-high. Olivia Weaver also deserves some recognition as she got her first hit of the season.

Trenton's victory bumped their record up to 9-5. As for Columbia, they dropped their record down to 11-7 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road.
