O'Connor faced Mountain Ridge in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Tuesday. The Eagles came out on top against the Mountain Lions by a score of 3-1. The win was nothing new for the Eagles as they're now sitting on five straight.

The final score came out to 25-16, 25-21, 21-25, 25-17.

O'Connor's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 22-8-1. As for Mountain Ridge, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 10-12.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. O'Connor will head out to square off against Liberty at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Eagles are facing the Lions at the right time seeing as the Lions are stuck on a six-game losing streak. As for Mountain Ridge, they will challenge Ironwood at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
