Baseball Recap: West Islip Comes Up Short

West Islip lost against Smithtown West on Monday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Lions fell just short of Smithtown West by a score of 6-4. That's two games in a row now that the Lions have lost by exactly two runs.

West Islip's loss dropped their record down to 8-5. As for Smithtown West, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-1.

While West Islip had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:15 p.m. on Friday.
