Recap: Atkinson County Rebels vs. Charlton County Indians
The Atkinson County Rebels's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fourth straight loss. They fell 63-55 to Charlton County. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Atkinson County in their matchups with Charlton County: they've now lost eight in a row.
It was another big night for Ja'mari Hamilton, who scored 26 points along with four steals for Charlton County. That makes it three consecutive games in which Hamilton has scored at least a third of Charlton County's points. Another player making a difference was Imod Hamilton, who scored six points along with six rebounds.
Atkinson County has not been sharp recently, as they've lost five of their last six matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-12 record this season. As for Charlton County, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 10-7.
Atkinson County won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Worth County at 5:30 p.m. on January 20th. As for Charlton County, they will head out on the road to challenge Echols County at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Echols County is coming into the matchup on a six-game losing streak.
