Softball Recap: Higley Comes Up Short

Higley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They came up short against Arizona College Prep, falling 12-5.

Higley saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Paige Elkins, who went 1-for-2 with two RBI.

Higley's loss dropped their record down to 4-7. As for Arizona College Prep, their win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-3.

Looking ahead, Higley will be taking part in a tournament against Eastmark at 11:00 a.m. on Friday. As for Arizona College Prep, they will take on Sunnyside in a tournament on Thursday. Arizona College Prep knows how to get runs on the board -- the team has finished with ten runs or more in their past four contests -- so hopefully Sunnyside likes a good challenge.
