Volleyball Recap: Boone Braves vs. Olympia Titans

Boone came into their game on Wednesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against the Olympia Titans, falling 3-0. The Braves were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Titans apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in March of 2024.

While Boone was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 25-13, 25-23, 25-21.

Jeremiah Greenwood paced Boone's offense, picking up eight kills. Greenwood got some help from Jordan Hoffmann and his 12 assists.

Leading Olympia to victory were Matheus Carvalho Da Silva and Will Edwards. Carvalho Da Silva had 12 digs and five aces, while Edwards had 22 assists and two aces. Those five aces gave Carvalho Da Silva a new career-high.

Boone's loss dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Olympia, with the victory, they broke their four-game losing streak and moved their record to 7-9.

Boone didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against Ocoee on the 10th. As for Olympia, they will square off against Evans at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
