Aitkin came tearing into Tuesday's game with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 7.8 runs), and they left with even more momentum. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Marshall Hilltoppers a 10-0 shutout. Considering the Gobblers have won 14 contests by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Aitkin's win bumped their record up to 24-3. As for Marshall, their loss ended a seven-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 16-7.

Aitkin will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Hilltoppers: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
