Basketball Recap: Minster Comes Up Short

If Minster was feeling good fresh off their 81-36 takedown of Ansonia last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Minster Wildcats took a 59-51 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Marion Local Flyers on Friday. While losing is never fun, the Wildcats can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 180th, while the Flyers are ranked 39th).

Minster's loss dropped their record down to 14-8. As for Marion Local, the win (which was their ninth in a row) raised their record to 20-1.

Looking ahead, Minster will square off against Hardin Northern at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Marion Local, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 55-29 defeat against Russia on the 15th.
