Preview: Fort Zumwalt East vs. Warrenton
Given their disadvantage in the MaxPreps state rankings, Warrenton should expect quite the challenge on Friday. They will take on Fort Zumwalt East at 7:00 PM. Warrenton will be hoping to continue their now three-game streak of scoring more points each game than the last.
Don't be fooled by the insanely high score: we promise Orchard Farm and Warrenton were playing football. Warrenton took a 47-59 hit to the loss column at the hands of Orchard Farm. Warrenton were down by 27-52 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.
As for Fort Zumwalt East, they had a rough outing against Fort Zumwalt North two weeks ago, but a little bit of home cooking seems to have fixed things right up. Fort Zumwalt East came out on top against Liberty by a score of 40-31 last Friday.
Fort Zumwalt East's victory lifted them to 6-2 while Warrenton's defeat dropped them down to 1-7. After the lofty point totals in their previous games, we'll see if they're able to heat things up even more while facing each other.
