Avon came tearing into Saturday's match with ten straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 21.4 points) and they left with even more momentum. They breezed by the Tri-West Hendricks Bruins to the tune of 73-40. The Orioles have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five contests by 32 points or more this season.

Avon got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Keriawn Berry out in front who went 8 of 12 en route to 18 points along with five rebounds and three steals. The game was Berry's fifth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jedidiah Minnett, who went 8 of 14 en route to 19 points and six rebounds.

Avon's record is now 11-1. As for Tri-West Hendricks, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-5 record this season.

Avon will be taking part in a tournament against Plainfield at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Plainfield knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past four contests -- so hopefully Avon likes a good challenge. As for Tri-West Hendricks, they will welcome Lebanon at 7:45 p.m. on Friday.
