Recap: Victory Christian Conquerors vs. Legacy Academy Warriors
This season hasn't been kind to the Victory Christian Conquerors, who are still winless after their sixth contest. They were dealt a 48-10 loss at the hands of Legacy Academy on Monday. Victory Christian has not had much luck with Legacy Academy recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
It was another big night for Oaklee Lofton, who dropped a triple-double on 12 points, 17 rebounds, and 12 steals for Legacy Academy. The matchup was Lofton's 19th in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Libbie Bartek, who scored 20 points along with five rebounds and three steals.
Victory Christian's loss dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Legacy Academy, they are on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 13 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 14-5 record this season.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Victory Christian will take on Columbia Christian at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Columbia Christian is hoping to put an end to an 11-game streak of away losses. Legacy Academy won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Cornerstone Christian at 5:30 p.m. on January 9th. Cornerstone Christian comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 23 points in their last five games, a trend the squad is of course eager to reverse.
