Volleyball Recap: Tri County Area Comes Up Short

Tri County Area was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They lost 3-0 to the Newaygo Lions. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Vikings have suffered since August 22nd.

The final score came out to 25-13, 25-17, 25-13.

Jade Gould paced Tri County Area's offense, picking up five kills. Gould got some help from Easton Harkness and her four assists. Harkness also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Karlie Byle, each putting up two.

Tri County Area's defeat dropped their record down to 5-15. As for Newaygo, they pushed their record up to 21-11 with the victory, which was their third straight at home.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Tri County Area is set to square off against their familiar foe Chippewa Hills at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Newaygo will face off against rival Big Rapids at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
