Volleyball Recap: Monument Valley Comes Up Short

Monument Valley was the 2-0 winner over Wayne when they last played one another back in November of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Cougars took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Badgers on Friday. The Cougars have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Their offense was headlined by Ayainna Cly and Naomi White, who picked up three kills apiece. Cly really made an impact as she also led the team in assists with six.

Monument Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 16-9-1. As for Wayne, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-6 record this season.

Monument Valley didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-1 win against Tintic on the 17th. As for Wayne, they have also already played their next match, a 2-0 victory against Rowland Hall on the 17th.
