Football Recap: Demopolis Comes Up Short on the Road Against Mountain Brook + How To Watch

Demopolis kicked off their season on the road on Friday and hit a couple of potholes. They were beaten by the Mountain Brook Spartans 44-7. The Tigers were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 30-0.

Mountain Brook's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Stuart Andrews, who rushed for 131 yards and two touchdowns on only 13 carries. Andrews' rushing production has been exceptional as that marked his sixth straight game with at least 106 rushing yards dating back to last season. Sam Smith was another key pass catcher, picking up 97 receiving yards and three TDs.

Coming up, Demopolis will be defending their home field for the first time this season when they go up against Jackson at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Mountain Brook, they will head out on the road to challenge Parker at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
