Jack Poellot put up the most strikeouts he's had over his last three contests on Tuesday. He struck out 11 batters over 5.2 innings while giving up just two earned runs off four hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in seven consecutive appearances.

Poellot's strong effort led Lake Country Lutheran over University School of Milwaukee and he'll get a chance to do so again: the teams have a rematch scheduled at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Lightning are 8-2 against the Wildcats going back to May of 2019, a lead they'll look to extend.
