Basketball Game Preview: Kingston Cougars vs. Jefferson Blue Jays

The Kingston Cougars will challenge the Jefferson Blue Jays at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.

Last Saturday, Kingston was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 42-36 to Saxony Lutheran. The game marked the Cougars' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Meanwhile, Jefferson ended up a good deal behind Fredericktown on Monday and lost 70-55.

Jefferson has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-4 record this season. As for Kingston, they now have a losing record at 5-6.

Kingston was able to grind out a solid win over Jefferson in their previous meeting back in February of 2024, winning 54-42. Will Kingston repeat their success, or does Jefferson have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
