Volleyball Recap: Wren Comes Up Short

Wren's tournament run continued when they took on Kings Mountain on Saturday. The Hurricanes fell just short of the Mountaineers by a score of 2-1. The contest marked the Hurricanes' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Aubrey Bryan paced Wren's offense, picking up seven kills. Bryan got some help from Emma Garrison and her 23 assists.

Kings Mountain had a senior duo take command as Ava Tipton had 14 digs and one assist and Madi Broome had eight digs and two assists.

Wren's defeat dropped their record down to 5-1. As for Kings Mountain, the win keeps them at an undefeated 7-0.

Wren will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Hillcrest at 7:00 p.m. on the 26th. As for Kings Mountain, they will challenge Franklin at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
