Football Recap: San Clemente's Run of Three Straight Victories Now Over

After soaring to 41 points the game before, San Clemente was a bit more limited in their contest on Thursday. They took a 19-13 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Edison Chargers. The Tritons were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Chargers apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in August of 2024.

With the loss, San Clemente broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 4-2. As for Edison, their victory bumped their record up to 4-1.

Looking ahead, San Clemente will take on San Marcos at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Royals will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something the Tritons surely won't give up without a fight. As for Edison, they will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Newport Harbor at 3:30 p.m. on September 8.
