Recap: Summit Academy Eagles vs. Morel Campos
The Summit Academy Eagles stacked a 12th blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Monday. They really took it to Morel Campos for the full four quarters, racking up a 109-7 victory on the road. Summit Academy's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
It was another big night for Amerie Santana, who dropped a triple-double on 35 points, 14 rebounds, and 13 assists. As a matter of fact, that's the most points she has scored all season. Jazmyne Rios was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 25 points and 16 rebounds.
Summit Academy has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 12 of their last 13 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 18-3 record this season. As for Morel Campos, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-10.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Summit Academy will take on Brooklyn Community Arts & Media at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday. As for Morel Campos, their homestand continues as they prepare to take on Brooklyn Collegiate at 4:30 p.m. on January 24th.
