Basketball Recap: White Deer Piles Up the Points Against Hedley

White Deer lost to Hedley back in February of 2023, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Monday. The White Deer Bucks claimed a resounding 62-32 victory over the Hedley Owls. The Bucks have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven games by 22 points or more this season.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead White Deer to victory, but perhaps none more so than Caynden Mynear, who posted 16 points. Another player making a difference was Karson Vaughn, who scored 12 points.

White Deer has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a massive bump to their 9-10 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.3 points per game. As for Hedley, they dropped their record down to 3-12 with the loss, which was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season.

Coincidentally, White Deer and Hedley will both be playing Groom the next time they take the court. Hedley will host Groom at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, while White Deer will head out to face them at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
