Basketball Recap: Scott's Branch Comes Up Short

Scott's Branch was the 46-22 winner over Bethune-Bowman when they last played one another back in November of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Scott's Branch Eagles were just a bucket shy of victory on Tuesday and fell 41-40 to the Bethune-Bowman Mohawks.

Scott's Branch lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Saniya House, who posted eight points and six boards. House is trending in the right direction considering she's improved her point production for three straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Siara Lundy, who put up 14 points and three steals.

Scott's Branch has been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last eight games, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-7 record this season. As for Bethune-Bowman, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-8.

Scott's Branch didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 69-11 win against Branchville on the 10th. As for Bethune-Bowman, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 91-16 defeat against Military Magnet Academy on the 9th.
