Basketball Recap: Shelby County Takes a Loss

Shelby County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss. They had to suffer through a 70-26 loss at the hands of the Lafayette Generals. While losing is never fun, the Rockets can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Kentucky basketball rankings (they are ranked 229th, while the Generals are ranked 16th).

Shelby County's defeat dropped their record down to 1-10. As for Lafayette, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 12-2.

Shelby County will challenge Western Hills at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Lafayette, they will square off against Lexington Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
