West Lafayette is 8-2 against Tipton since January of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Thursday. The West Lafayette Red Devils will be playing in front of their home fans against the Tipton Blue Devils at 7:00 p.m. Both have had a bumpy ride up to this point with three consecutive losses for West Lafayette and 11 for Tipton.

Last Tuesday, West Lafayette had to suffer through a 54-23 loss at the hands of Lafayette Jefferson. While losing is never fun, the Red Devils can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 282nd, while the Bronchos are ranked 60th).

Molly Andrew was West Lafayette's leading scorer, having posted 11 points. Andrew also led the team in rebounds with seven. Emma Garringer took the lead distributing the ball, coming up with two assists.

Meanwhile, Tipton was beaten by Hamilton Heights 57-24 on Saturday.

Tipton's loss dropped their record down to 2-17. As for West Lafayette, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-14.

Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: West Lafayette has been crashing the rebounds this season, having averaged 31.9 boards per game. However, it's not like Tipton struggles in that department as they've been averaging 24.3 boards. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.

West Lafayette beat Tipton 55-48 when the teams last played back in January of 2023. Does West Lafayette have another victory up their sleeve, or will Tipton turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
