Cimarron had lost three games straight , but after bumping their record up to 7-4-2 on Thursday that streak is in the rearview. They skirted past the Spearville Lancers 5-4. That's more bragging rights for the Bluejays, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

The team relied heavily on Logan Simon, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double. That's the most runs he has posted since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Alex Schlesener, who went 2-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.

As for Spearville, with the loss, they broke their six-game winning streak and moved their record to 9-2. The game marked their lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

On Spearville's side, Danny Alcala made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Layson Wheaton, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Cimarron beat Spearville by a score of 5-3 later that day.
