Granite Bay has won eight straight games at home (dating back to last season), while Oak Ridge has won eight straight on the road, but those streaks won't matter much on Tuesday. The Grizzlies will host the Trojans at 7:30 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.
Granite Bay will bounce into Tuesday's contest after beating Del Oro, who they had gone 0-6 against in their six prior meetings. The Grizzlies simply couldn't be stopped on Thursday as they easily beat the Golden Eagles 37-0. The Grizzlies might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four matchups by 29 points or more this season.

Granite Bay's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Maddie Benedyuk, who picked up 38 receiving yards and a pair of touchdowns. Those 38 receiving yards gave Benedyuk a new career-high. Anna Craven was another key pass catcher, picking up 38 receiving yards and two TDs.
Granite Bay's defense stepped up as well, laying out the QB four times. In fact, those sacks all came courtesy of defensive juggernaut Madison Castelanos.
Meanwhile, Oak Ridge didn't have too much trouble with Folsom on Thursday as they won 34-19. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Trojans' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' California flag football rankings (they are ranked 19th, while the Bulldogs are ranked 600th).
Granite Bay better keep an eye on Maya Scipio. She was instrumental in Oak Ridge's win, throwing for 162 yards and four touchdowns. The team also got some help courtesy of Addison Hemans, who picked up 33 receiving yards and a pair of scores.
Oak Ridge didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as Becca Platt, Maddy Goda, and Rachel Groth picked up one apiece. Groth got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.
Oak Ridge's victory bumped their record up to 12-1. As for Granite Bay, their win bumped their record up to 7-2.
Granite Bay took a serious blow against Oak Ridge in their previous matchup last Thursday, falling 33-0. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Scipio, who threw for 206 yards and four TDs, and also rushed for 32 yards and one score. Now that the Grizzlies know the damage she can cause, will they be able to stop her this time? There's only one way to find out.
