Recap: Riverton vs. Evanston
Everything went Evanston's way against Riverton on Friday as the team secured a 48-8 win. That result is just more of the same for Evanston, who also won the last time these teams played.
Evanston's offense came in ready to rumble, picking up 35 points in the first half. Riverton came up with 8 to make it 35-8 heading into the break. The Evanston defense stood its ground in the third quarter, giving up 0 and all but finishing the matchup. The victory bumped their record up to 3-0. Riverton are still searching for that first win as they fell to 0-3.
Evanston will be staying on the road next week, facing off against Lander Valley. Evanston have bulldozed their previous 3 opponents, so Lander Valley might have their hands full. Riverton will stay at home against Star Valley at 7:00 PM. Riverton come in off of 3 low-scoring performances in a row, a trend the squad is obviously eager to reverse.
