Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Chugiak walked away with it. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the South Anchorage Wolverines 3-2. This was a revenge game for the Mustangs: when they faced off against the Wolverines last Friday, they had to take a 3-0 defeat.

Chugiak was actually outscored in aggregate across those five sets (104-99), but they still managed to win. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 17-25, 25-19, 17-25, 15-13.

Chugiak's victory bumped their record up to 32-15-1. As for South Anchorage, their loss ended a ten-match streak of wins at home and dropped them to 40-4-1.

Chugiak has already played their next matchup, a 3-0 win against Service on the 13th. As for South Anchorage, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-0 victory against Soldotna on the 14th.
